Hey I dont know if any of you girls have been pregnant or if any of the guys have had girlfriends that are/were pregnant and had hyperhidrosis.. but im just wondering if its ok to take the pill while pregnant. Will it affect the baby in the long run...?? i spoke to my doctors about it and she did some search and said it was ok to take it. I was wondering.. since they need to be taken at least 2 hours in advance if it was ok to take while pregnant?

Thanksssss... in advance.. :D

i always say this, but it's never too much ;)

while the internet is a nice place to find resources and SPW is a place where you find many great persons , you should also ask your medical doctor , each person has a diferent physiology so the same med may cause diferent effects.

regarding something as imporant as yours and your baby health you may want ty ask your obstetrician ;)

i wish you and your baby happiness and health :)

Dear IndiesLove:

I'm with JonnyD--pregnancy's a time to seek advice only from the medical types. Was the doctor who said glyco was probably OK an OBGYN?

I did a quick Google search (not quite the fount of all medical knowledge!) and did come up with this:

"What if I'm pregnant, considering pregnancy or breast-feeding?

Most females now know that, if possible, no drug, including alcohol, should be taken during pregnancy or lactation. The potential danger, of course, is an injury to the baby. However, some drugs are much safer than others in this regard. So, the FDA has a grading system for each drug which reflects what is known medically. It ranks drugs from A, where medical studies show no evidence for danger to the fetus or mother, to B, C, D and X, where the medical evidence indicates that the risk to the fetus outweighs any benefit to the mother. Glycopyrrolate is ranked B. Always consult your physician before taking any drug during or when planning pregnancy. "

So--probably OK. If you ask me (and you sort of did), "probably OK" isn't good enough. I know it's a drag, but I'd tough it out or see if something topical would help, at least for now.

Wishing you well,

margiehope
