True friend and close friend

Do you have friends? How many of them are "true friends" to you? How many of them are "close friends" to you? Are those two terms the same or different, and why? Sorry for asking so many questions but i just can't figure it out

I'd say a true friend is like a best friend. I have one and I've had her since I was 6, but live on opposite sides of the country so it's hard to see each other. We've remained close since she moved away so long ago and visit when we can. I guess a true friend is just someone you can tell legitimately anything to. anything. And they wouldn't judge you because you're basically a part of them and they wouldn't judge that within themselves. So yeah. Close friends are just people you're close to. Like they know a lot about you but you wouldn't necessarily tell them the nitty gritty details.
