You know you have OCD when....

....when you open all the windows and doors in the house to "let the fresh, pure air in" an make sure you're not trapping germs, even though it's a freezing cold day in the middle of winter.

... when you spend so much time worrying, that you had frown lines on your head by the age of 18.

... when going on a detox diet has more to do with feeling clean than losing weight.

... when you refuse to get into a relationship, because you've dated so many men, yet none of them are good enough.

... when you're too scared to tell your Mom that you have OCD because you're scared that she'll confiscated your antibacterial handgel.

... when you're so anxious over fear of failure at college exam time, you end up too sick to be able to write your exams at all.

... when you never get passed Chapter One in a college course, because when you're making 'rough' notes, you have to rip out the whole page and start again over one little spelling mistake. And heaven forbid that day you found a grammatical error in the lecture notes....

... when you haven't seen your best friend in months, but when she comes to visit, you're too busy trying to clean up all the "mess" she is making in "your personal space" to enjoy yourself.

... when you know you need to seek help for your OCD, but you can't because you don't want anyone to see how imperfect you are.

... when you go to a nice hotel and leave the room tidier and cleaner than it was when you arrived.

... when you know you need help, but you don't want to take medication because of "all the toxins" and you don't want to go to therapy because the expensive bills will get in the way of your money hoarding.

... when you draft your posts to the forum in your computer's word processor first so that you can spell check.
