Writing down your thoughts?

I was wondering if writing down your thoughts help you through sp? I believe that I have it pretty bad I have not been diagnosed by a psychologist I have been seeing one but I havent told him about my problems as im afraid of what he may do or think. I really need some kind of relief from sp because its causing me to be very depressed. I have been this way for about 6 years and I have noticed it getting worse over the last couple of months. I was wondering if writing down your feelings helps others cope with sp. Im trying to build up the courage to talk to my psychologist about my problems but its really difficult for me. I think that i should be on some kind of medicen but Im not a doctor ... Anyone have any advice?

That may help

Some proven things that help are exercise, meditation and cold baths/showers. The first two is easy to implement, the third takes more will power. But its very invigorating  It also helps to cut out all caffeine.
