why women favor the much older men?

I was thinking about this. Is it the norm for women to be so strict on the age difference for dating?

Why does this have to be? Do the women ever think that doing this will leave their male counterparts behind, year after year. Do you encourage us to look for girl who are much younger? Should I be looking for a high school girl since, not any girl wants to go out with me because I don't have what a fully developed male has? Why must we have to compete with males who are much older than I? Yea obviously there is the financial aspect, but is that all? These guys can get anyone they want! Why must you spoil them with more than they can handle?

Why must I be left behind, simple because I haven't finished college yet or a degree (I'm still working on it), and gotten a full time job? Are my assets more important than my personality?

One person told me "because men go for the younger women?"..

I said.. I would prefer one around my age, not too young. Only reason I'd do so is just to try it, or because when I was young I never found anyone at that age.

I think you're being too general here- trying to say that all (or at least most) women go for older guys, when I'm not sure that that's really true. I don't care much about age, but for me it's more of a question of maturity level- the financial aspect is really not something I personally consider at all. But the maturity aspect makes more sense than the financial one I think because, number one, women (in most of the world at least) are becoming more financially independent without a need for a "rich" man to support them, and secondly, women do tend to mature before men, so that to find a man with your same maturity level, he is most likely going to be older. And I also disagree that by choosing older men that the younger will get left behind, because as long as humans keep reproducing (which I don't see an end to any time soon), there will always be plenty of women of whatever age for men to choose from (and vice versa). Now, some women may be looking for financial security when they seek out men, and I've found some very mature younger guys and immature older ones, so there are exceptions of course. Just my two cents though, maybe I'm not really like an average woman though.

Yea women's bodies may mature faster but what does that say about their minds and emotional maturity? Sure they're usually the "gate keepers" of sexuality but does that mean that no matter what, because of this they are more emotionally and mentally mature than guys?

it may just seem a good excuse for pedophiles. (like there's ever a good excuse for that). Also to just pick the most seemingly developed male one can find.

And no it's not so EASY to find a woman. It's not like it's granted, or that "if you're normal" you'll find one. Especially in your age group.

I think this reasoning for the majority of women makes men want to date younger women, and who could blame them because when they were young NOBODY wanted to date them, or we had to use gimmicks!
