Who wants to try this?

Go a month, 30 days, without thinking about being lonely, without thinking about whether people like you or not, or without thinking whether you are funny or entertaining enough.

One month.

It would make you feel better if you were too anxious, although it would not change your life, current situation, future perspectives among others.

I think that would be so great (and changing your way of thinking would change your life in the end, wouldn't it?). But how would you manage to control your thoughts?

For me I think it's kind of impossible.
I don't see my life without anxiousity.. Well, well..It's kinda okay though.

I mean, when we are asleep we don't fear anyone. When we imagine the same people we interact with, we don't fear them.

So how come in reality they are so damn frightening?

hey, good thinking socialretahd..the not thinking about being lonely would be the toughest for me, but the other two..i could totally work on..and i do think that changing your outlook on those things could potentially change things for the better..i accept the challenge 8)

This is kind of a silly thread....

If we could just magically stop thinking about out anxiety then why wouldn't we?

The anxiety comes upon us out of the blue and there isn't a way to stop it, there are only ways to fight it off and hide it.

If you get on the right meds and take a positive approach to every situation in your life you will definitely get better.

hi SilentType :) while i do agree with some of what you're saying, with all due respect, meds aren't for everyone..different things work for different people. And it just seems kind of..not nice..to call someone else's thread "silly", esp. a thread that aims to be positive and motivate others.

This isn't a stupid thread. It may only seem like that cause I didn't elaborate.

It takes 21 days to change your subconcious. So if you can go 21 days without having worrying about your social status, than you will be better off. I'm not talking about trying to be less anxious in social situations, that wasn't the plan at all.

I didnt mean to offend anyone, I was just asking you to think a little harder. Our anxiety attacks come and go and there is nothing we can do except wage war with them.

No, medicine is not for everyone. Its effects on me are not necessarily the same effects it will have on everyone, I know this. All I am saying is to see the doctor about your problem. You may not think it can help you because of your debilitated state of mind, but once you get there therapy will help even the most anxious of them all. It's just good to know that you are paying someone to help you with your thoughts and share with you the best knowledge on how to fix it. Of course, you have to find the doctor that fits your personality, but once you do things will surely improve.

Again, I never mean to be offensive on this forum.....well...except when that essential oils nut comes around....:p

Peace
