If you have any job. I have no idea what kind of job is more or less comfortable for people with social phobia or avoidant personality disorder. I used to be a tutor.

the last year or so i have done next to nothing. at the moment .. i am continuing to do next to nothing. I do "some" webdesign work from home, and i volunteer at a local dog rescue a few times per week.

In the past i have worked in an office environment doing webdesign, and also on construction sites as a fencer.

They say it is difficult to find job with psychology degree. Doesn't it trouble you? I also considered psychology.

I worked as a care worker with the elderly, also in a care home for the mentally disabled and have also been a teaching assistant but couldn't hack any of it. I'm aiming to work with animals, done many home study courses...just a case of finding the right job.

hmm, i odunno..im hoping to do history, english, psychology and chemistry AS and then drop history or english for A2. Clinical psychologys quite easy to get inot round here i think, and you can always apply for a job with the nhs, cos theyre always in need of psychiatrists or therapist..or alternatively i could become a tutor or something at a college/university after getting my degree and so do research there.

this is all going along with the lines that i get rid of my sp. i intend to. im not letting it stop me get what i want

Wow how do u do it? I work as a kitchen porter in a really busy pub it's extremely difficult being surrounded by people all the time and it's a very social environment, but at least I can turn my back to it and wash up! but if you're a chef you really HAVE to be a people person..i can't imagine how someone could be a chef with sp

I have a challenging job which forces me to talk to the customers. I am a taxi driver and am around the public for 12 hours a day. It's alot easier now and I actually enjoy meeting some of the peole. Some I can't get out of the taxi quick enough.

I have also worked in retail and have done cleaning.

I work in retail right now. which is pretty hard for my SA. Its a pretty upscale shop and I get a lot of snobboy people and makes my SA gets worse!! But its pays pretty well so I am not complaining. I am glad I have a job. It took me a while to get a job because having SA is really really difficult. I am studying Art History and would like to be a professor some day. I dont know how, I guess I am hoping I will get over my SA one day or at least reduce my SA a bit. Life sucks really bad having SA! To juandinero: I don't know how you manage to be a cook with SA. WOw! I would love to work as a waitress becauase the money is great especially in the area I live in (Washington D.C.), there are fabulous resturaunts! I can't even go in to to resturaunt let alone work in one :(

I can go to restaurants because I go there with my husband and I don't have to talk to waitresses(I am afraid of them, in my country waitresses were usually very rude)I don't look at them, I don't talk to them, unless they are reaaaally friendly. Am I not a freak?
