Hi all,
yesterday four of us gathered in town to meet and greet and talk all things SA. None of us had actually met each other face to face and some had actually never before met any fellow SA sufferers. It was one big blind date that we all anxiously anticipated!
The meeting took place in an inner city cafe (my old work-place) where the function room on the second floor had been made available to us. We were able to dicuss our personal experiences with social anxiety, history of treatments and talk about what we would like to get out of the group in a comfortable and discreet setting.
It was very liberating to be able to speak about very private issues with fellow sufferers and reflect on each other's experiences. After the initial anxiety we all relaxed a bit more around each other and enjoyed it so much that we'll be doing it all again this coming Sunday, 24th June.
If anybody is interested in joining to group or has any questions please email me at [email protected]
Best of Luck,
Noodle
