I am a 33 year old mum of a toddler. I have always had very red cheeks and blush easily but now it has got a lot worse. I am sweating so much and if I just go out to the shops on a coldish day I will sweat. I think my body thermostat is completely out of sync as I normally feel very cold (esp on my hands and feet) but a little over dressing and i am sweating esp under my armpits and on my forehead. I hate it. My face and skin feels so dry (I already have psoriasis on my elbows and knees which are exacerbated by sweating). Is there anything I can do in terms of homeopathy or any natural remedies that have worked for you lot? I feel like I must look like such a freak with my red sweaty face and it is getting me so down :(

Sounds like you could have Rosacea. It's a condition where bacteria occurs natuarlly on the skin and leads to the redness. I have it but fortunately I went to the doctor (after 2 years of misery thinking it was acne) and he prescribed me a special gel. It works really well and gets rid of most of the redness...

Hi Doa!

You may indeed have rosacea (I do too, and also was prescribed a gel which helps).

That doesn't account for the sweating, though. If you're the mother of a small child, it may be hormonal in part. There are a number of natural products that may help that--black cohosh springs to mind--but you may get better advice from someone at a health food store where you live.

Hope you get help of some sort, anyway--being a mom to small children is hard enough!
