Hello All,
I am finally getting fed up with my under arm sweating. It tends to be completely random. I am sitting here right now and have a drop rolling down my arm. Some days, although few, I don't sweat at all. The activities are the same and the sweat is consistent but sometimes random. My hands sweat a lot and so do my feet, but my feet not as much. It can be winter and I'm outside freezing but I still sweat like I'm working out. When just sitting on the couch playing video games I'll completely drench the arm pit areas of my shirt. While drumming it gets difficult to hold onto the sticks because of sweat. I'm a beginner at drumming too so I'm not doing anything too difficult or demanding. Fortunately I tend to not get BO. If I start to stink I change my shirt and the stink usually sticks with the shirt so I'm ok afterwards. I always try to have an extra shirt handy and usually wear hoodies or other clothing to help hide the problem.
Years ago I said something to my doctor and he sort of passed it off, asked me if I workout and other stuff but never gave me a solution or any kind of treatment. I recently bought Gilette clinical strength but have only been applying it in the morning after a shower. Today I will start putting it on right before bed to see if that helps. Otherwise I have an appointment with my doc on the 19th and will get his advice. He'll probably just refer me to a derm.
Anyone have success with any treatments for similar sweat problems? I read about Botox injections and that they work but are costly and painful. I also heard about an oral pill but don't know much about it.
