Now that my suspenseful title has hooked you all, allow me to let-down ALL expectations. I'm Ian, 21, male, live in US, and I'm a weird case. Surprising, right? Well, I'm socially fine, tend to be the life of the party, and enjoy hanging out with friends. The catch -- I have severe intimacy issues which prevents me from making any friends, keeping my life completely secretive from everyone including family, and general awkwardness when the conversation turns more deep and - what do you call it - substance filled? I don't have problem talking to girls, and even have quite a few that like/liked me. I just get to a point and then i can't seem to go any further... hard to explain.
But anyway, I think that's a good novel for you guys. If you want to talk, laugh, cry, make the occasional philosophical thought... I'm always down. Take care guys.

I also relate to the issue of having trouble getting close to people--that is one reason why I have such a hard time making friends.
