Those who take meds: Did you tell your CLOSE friend "Best friend" or one of the family member that you trust about it?
Or was is it just your choice, nobody knew about it and all they saw was that you changed?

No I didn't. But then I don't think it caused much change in me, so no one probably noticed anything either.

Oh, and I am not necessarily saying that this is a smart thing to do. Taking a new medication without telling anyone around you could turn out badly. You could have some sort of bad or allergic reaction and no one would have any freaking idea what was going on.

In the end it is a personal choice though and you have to weigh all the risks and benefits for you personally telling others or not telling them.

In this day and age, there is very little stigma attached to taking "SSRI" medications (lexipro, paxil, prozac, cilexa, welbutrin, zoloft, cimbalta). The number of people on these drugs is pretty astounding. Chances are, if you mention to someone else that you are taking this medication, they will be taking it as well.

But going back to your question, I don't know any close friend or family member who doesn't know I have a prescription. Half of my friends have them too.

I agree with that.
In the beginning when I was on paxil, I simply mentionned to one friend about it while casually chatting. The next day she was looking at me as if I was a freak 8O . And since then I noticed her behaviour had changed. She mumbled something about changing moods and stuffs, well I understood she thought I was some nervous and dangerous wreck! Some friend :(

This is why I'm struggling to make a decision about if I should tell it to one of my closest friend before taking them.
Or just take them and if it works, good, without anyone knowing.
