Jealousy is a terrible thing. I have tried to explain its symptoms. Why do our hearts and spirit seem to break when somebody intrudes on a long time lover? Why does it feel so terrible?
I’ve tried to delude myself with tiring mental gymnastics and the subconscious reminder that things are better this way, but my physical symptoms of heartbreak are making me sick.
I’ve tried to be mean, but I want to be the better person. I’ve used words like 'ravaged' and thought up terrible justifications of why she is making me feel this way.
Truth is, I’m talking about jealousy- not true love.
Can you have one without the other? Are they mutually exclusive?
