The Letter from Jesus

Dear friend,

How are you? I just had to send a note to tell you how much I care about you. I saw you yesterday as you were talking with others. I waited all day hoping you would want to talk to me too. I gave you a sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to rest you--and I waited. You never came. It hurt me--but I still love you because I am your friend.
I saw you sleeping last night and longed to touch your brow so I spilled moonlight on your face. Again I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you! You awoke and rushed off to work. My tears were in the rain.
If you would only listen to me! I LOVE YOU! I try to tell you in the blue skies and in the quiet green grass. I whisper it in the leaves on the trees and breathe it in colors of flowers, shout it to you in the mountain streams, give birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air with nature scents. My love for you is deeper than the ocean, and bigger than the biggest need in your heart.
Ask me! Talk with me! Please don't forget me. I have so much to share with you!
I won't hassle you further. It is YOUR decision. I have chosen you and I will wait~I love you. Your friend,
Jesus

Me too Cutefluffykitten! I know Jesus suffered so much on the cross and even before then, more than any has suffered I believe because he carried the sin of all the world on his shoulders as well as the physical pain of it. There was a purpose for it that people couldn't see at the time and even now many don't see it, but there was a purpose for it..I believe there may be a purpose for the Sp we have. What it is I don't know, some suggest to bring us closer to God, some say to help us grow, it is something to overcome..I don't know. But I trust God.
What people don't understand sometimes is that when you have a relationship w/Jesus it doesn't automatically mean your life is perfect and no more suffering. But it does mean that when we do suffer, we have help to endure it. We aren't alone in it. And yes, sometimes God does deliver us from it automatically but not allways.Like the song, "Sometimes he calms the storm, "Peace, be still." Sometimes He holds us close and lets the wind and waves go wild..sometimes He calms the storm and other times He calms his child.
And I know people are going to think I'm more crazy than what they allready think but I would die for Jesus too..in a heartbeat, why not? He died for me. :)

Dear Jesus

You gave me social phobia therefore you suck.
Dear scyth,if sb died in your place would you claim that he doesn't love you? Christ died for you and for all the world. Satan gives the bad things to you. Besides, you can't blame God for your problems,if you're not close to Him. Believe in Him and then pray for your problems and you'll see.

Soooooooooooo....Jesus is stalking you? Either that or he sounds extremely clingy. You better let him know it's over.

I wish there was a god, but I'm too technical to believe there is such thing as a soul.

Heh, well all humankind is flawed from the whole adam and eve sin thing... sooo SP is just a degradation of humankind that we suffer with, getting worse intill the showdown ;D. Personally I would change Jesus over to Jehovah since jesus was acting in the name of god and not for himself (read.selfless), but yeah thats my opinion so differing religions kinda dissuade this.

SocialRetahd, maybe thats just the world wanting you to think that? Satan owns this system of things after all. I understand exactly how you feel about religion, I felt the same not long ago and as a logical being I was too into science and what not to think its true. But its a gradual thing, if you look there is so much evidence to it, its like I was blind intill I learned the truth (crazy talk eh? lol ^^).

You can reduce emotion to one spectrum, on one side fear, on one side love. The 2 strongest emotions.
Love/trust is a way to get over social phobia.

This is why religion can be used to fight social phobia. Because you come to trust God/'Jesus'.

However is Christianity/religion morally right? I just don't see it. I would rather put my trust into something real. Not something imagined, someone i have never met...basically 'giving myself up' to some God, you are all powerful, i am nothing etc. I love you more than i love my family, my friends. I know nothing, I will not think, I will just blindly obey. I will follow rules written in some book that i have not invented myself, i have not debated and agreed with.

My opinion is Jesus was just a man...a normal man. A good man who did good things, crucified like many other people who stood up to the Romans. People create him into God for their OWN purpose. It is very convenient to have someone that totally loves you, that has all the answers, that will look after you. Is this selfish/egoist, or for people that desparately NEED it, unhealthy, destructive?

I think Buddhism is the middle way..a way to be spiritual, without having this weird relationship with an imaginary thing...yes, there might be a powerful force, do you really think it is human, and that you can have an extremely personal human-like relationship with it? What about the people around you? Why can't you just do something good just because you know it will make someone else feel better and bring meaning to them?

Sorry if this upsets alot of people, it is just my opinion.

I totally can see what you mean, heck I thought the same thing two-three months back. Ever since I have been started studying the bible I honestly noticed a huge change in me, I was bitter and hated everything and gradually to the total bewildering of myself I started to 'see' as odd as it sounds all the troubles of the world and why people act as they do, I felt more love for everything and everyone, to hate another is pretty difficult for me even if they are the most hated personal on earth, no really. Jehovah (because that is his name according to the translation) god, is a god of love. The bible even says you should test god repeatedly and ask questions.

Anyway god is not human he is a spiritual creature thing that pretty much is tied to every human, if he created us then surely there is a bond. And about helping others, if we (true christians) are to follow jesus in his example of christianty then are we not trying to be helping others? The people I study with the simply the most nicest and helping people I have known through media or otherwise, they spend all their life helping others out of love, is that selfless enough, and unlike some(sorry MOST) places the offer their study for free.

Uh sorry If I got too deep into it, but its so so so amazing and true, so many things staring us right in the face its incredible. Also about religions I mean no offence but I stand by my personal reasoning, test your faith, test your heart.
