The Impostor / Glowing in the Dark

I wrote this a while ago. called "impostor." Below that is one I wrote called "glowing in the dark." They are just simple poems I wrote to vent my emotions. Peace.

============

___The Impostor___

Life becomes like a facade.
Embellished like a radiant whore.
Unknown to myself,
Unknown to the world.

Quickly becoming hardened,
To the brutal reality
That bears upon me.

Angry at the falsity of it all.
With clenched teeth and tightened fists,
I stand alone in my own discontent.

Rip off the clothes,
Uncover the nakedness.
Turn on the lamp,
Reveal the light.

Let there be vision where there has been blindness!
Let there be hope where there has been oblivion!
I take my heart upon my sleeve,
Rest my head upon Your shoulder,
And give credit where credit is due.

Please be rest assured, my beloved,
That I have never failed to believe.
Only failed to live.
Never will I fade to red again,
Unless my eyes turn away.
Away from your undying love.

__Glowing in the Dark___

I’m glowing in the dark
There is peace in my own illumination
I stand shrouded in the black all around me
And I fear…
I fear that which I cannot see
Or understand

In the distance There are bright lights
Their lights are blinding
My glow is dim
Does that mean they are superior?
Is a glow suppose to be inferior?

Perhaps they simply fail to understand
That a glow
no matter how different
Or how benign
Are just bright lights waiting to be shown how to shine
