sweaty hands and feet... botox? hurt?

I'm sick of shocking my hands and feet for an hour almost other day! It works for sure... i dont sweat from my hands and feet when i use it right... but i work 35 hours a week and am a full time student... i dont have time for that! so i was thinking about getting botox injections in my hands and feet... i was wondering if anyone could tell me about their experients with botox injections in the hands and feet... to tell you the truth what im most scared of is the pain from the shots... ive been researching online and so far ive read that botox in the hands and feet is painful even with anethestic... does anyone know from experience... please someone help! I'm so over it!!!!! :x

It is suppost to be very painful, that's why its generally not used on hands and feet.

If you're going ahead with it make sure you get a doctor with a good history of giving injections because if its injected wrongly it doesn't work! and its a lot of money to waste.

the pain is great but tolerable. the thing is, its working really locally so u do not sweat at this one spot on which the botox was aplicated but then u do just a few mm nearby so... not to mention that ill be poor in a few years...

ive had it done in my hands. Its not really that bad but unfortunately it didnt really improve anything. basically i just wasted $1500

I have had botox in my hands twice and my feet once. It does hurt but to me its worth it. The hands don't hurt as much as the feet but think if I had my feet done again I would have a block. I could of had a block for my feet but I wanted to try it without first. I had 80 shots in each foot. I did my hands and feet at the same office visit. Botox has really helped me,I also use hydrosal with 35% aluminum chloride. I got a prescription to bring the hydrosal from 20% to 35% I have used hydrosal without the extra aluminum chloride and it didn't work. Using the hydrosal is suppose to make the botox last longer. Any other questions just ask.

i had botox done since they are now covered my insurance. internal medicine is starting or has recognized HH as a problem. There are alot of us.
My botox last 2 months, it wasn't 100% but it helped a bit. Now, it has been 1 year and my palm HH is back. Oh well what can you do.

I've had a hollywood actor's worth of Botox over the past year, and in some rather sensitive areas - forehead, face, scalp, etc. The pain is VERY manageable and like a small prick. Sometimes you can't even feel the injections. It's incredibly tolerable, trust me. It's one of those things where you get a little nervous, clench up and when it's finally happening to you, you say to yourself, "oh wow, that's it?"

Just had the treatment a view weaks ago.

I have to agree mostly with Lamador. It works, but you have to make sure they cover the total area of your hands because otherwise you'll still sweat more than you'd want. In my case for instance, they didn't do the fingers, which means great parts of my palms are now dry, but fingers and outer sides are still sweaty.

On the pain; it hurts terribly, but when it's over it's over, you can go home and the pain is gone. So if it works for you it's definitely worth it. I'm personally not totally satisfied with the results but on the plus side; I endured no side effects. Also nothing else I tried works better, and I'm trying not to resort to ETS for the next couple of years...

In my case, after a one year struggle in the medical paper mill the hospital was willing to pick up the tab (common practice in the Netherlands-->(very limited) special funds in hospitals to cover treatments deemed necessary by doctors yet not covered by any kind of insurance) but otherwise I'd still have went through with it. All in all I think it's worth a shot.

Hi, I am in a very similar situation that you are.. Except fo the only thing I use for my palms and feet is Drysol, but it dsn't do anything!!! It's so annoying and embarrasing.. What do you mean by shocking your hands/feet? Can you please give me info on that. I will try whatever works. My doctor and I decided about Botox and I think I will do it. Also, if you've been through it already, can you plz share your experience ? I'm desperately trying to say goodbye to sweat once and for all!!! Thanks for your time..
