Sweaty hands and a musician???

Musicians historically are sweaty people on stage. It adds to the "street cred" for a rocker. The more you sweat, the more it appears that you are into your music, and therefore your "sex appeal".

But, practically, if you have hyperhidrosis in the hands, it can get pretty expensive for guitar players. I go thru strings like they're going out of style. When I play guitar, my hands sweat so much (as they do when I am not playing guitar), that the sweat develops rust on my strings. So, most people who play guitar can go a couple of months without changing strings, but I have to change strings every 3 weeks, otherwise the sound quality is compromised.

Am I the only one?

Let's hear from some musicians with hyperhidrosis.

Peace out,
