At the end of the day, everybody has social anxiety. Everybody gets scarred that they will not be able to think of anything to say or that they wont be confident or whatever, its just part of being human.
Yes people might get a bit nervous in socially demanding situations, it's when these feelings become so serious that they take over and stop you from doing things and living your life that it becomes SA.

It is only when you start seeing it as a problem that it becomes one.
For me the problems came well before even knowing about SA. When you start avoiding every social situation not out of choice but out of fear, because they make you so uncomfortable that you cannot bear them and have panic attacks when in them then it is a problem regardless of whether you know about SA or not.
I think if I hadn't found out about SA I would be even worse than I am now as it would have given me no hope and I would have probably commited suicide because there is nothing worse than not knowing what is wrong with you and feeling that you are alone with this problem. If you know you have it at least you can start to learn about it and work towards getting better. Although this is easier said than done.

But however bad you have social anxiety, this means that there can never be anything actually wrong with you, you just think that there is!
This is what SA is, it is a belief system that you have tought yourself over time and just as you have taught yourself all these negative beliefs you can teach yourself positive ones, or so the theory goes:
The thinking that created the problem can't be used to solve the problem. If you want to solve the problem you have to change the way you think -
