from my experiance i would say no, my first g/f i lost contact with for 3 years then her brother appeared on my doorstep saying that she wanted to get bk together, i was unsure but gave it a try and after 8 months (funnily enough exactly the same amount of time we went out the first time) it ended. sometimes with all good intentions it just aint meant to be.
