School Issues...

I just started going to a new school...so I have no one I know there. I have socialphobia, so I really freak out when I even enter the school grounds. I don't know what to do, I feel lonely. Any suggestions on how to conquer these situations of going to a new place and how to interact with people there?

hi and welcome melancholiclife. Everybody has to encounter a new place at some point in there lives. It isn't easy to start somewhere new but just be yourself and I'm sure you will do fine. Try to spot a quieter person and try talking to them, or some1 who is on there own. Start a conversation by asking directions to somewhere, its a bit sneaky but its a good ice breaker. If you start to feel uncomfortable thats normal...people find a new environment stressfull.

Hope you make some friends and let us now how you get on

P.S. dont expect to make loads of friends straight away, it takes time and effort to build up good relationships and trust. Be yourself and I'm sure you will be OK
