its seems to us (me) that they are arrogant and mean but actually those personality types don't do as well as those who have personal confidence and self love. I mean, either extreme is no good, and I think that perhaps socially phobic people fall on the overly sensitive lacking in confidence end of the scale. But it is possible to have confidence without being arrogant.

You can respect yourself and others at the same time. But if you only have one, then you won't attract women (people).
