Question about the age groups...

I'm over 40. What I have found is that some of the younger people I chat with online don't want to chat with me after they find out my age. It's called ageism, I guess, discrimination based solely on age. So maybe older people don't appreciate being discriminated against and stop posting / chatting.

I guess part of it might be that older people have mostly overcome their anxiety. We're mostly young on these forums, just coming to terms with who we are and where we want to be. Older folks have had a lot of time to come to grips with their SA and to seek treatment. That and they have jobs and families and less time to surf the web ;P Like sabbath mentioned, though, ageism does seem to be a problem on the net at large. I hope that people of any age feel welcome here though.

Thats exactly what i think too, hopefully it wears off after 30s lol. Im guessing ill be magically cured the day i become 30 :p, only 8 years left. 8O

Well it may be cause, the vast majority of people using internet are young people.

younger people in there 20s are the first generation to grow up with the internet in school and we feel the most comfortable using it I guess :?:
