Presentation

So, I've been dreading this all week, and the day has finally come. I have a class presentation tomorrow. This may not seem like a big deal to some people, but for me its a living hell. For as long as I can remember, I've been terrible at class presentations. I just don't like being the center of attention. It's really nerve-wrecking to be in front of an entire class of people, with all their eyes focusing on you, judging you. I get so nervous, and my voice sounds weird, and my face gets hot and I can't focus on what I'm saying. This type of nervousness can't be fixed with "breathing exercises". I guess I'll just try my best, and hope for everything to be alright. Wish me luck ::eek::

This is ancillary to the presentation, but try waking up 20 minutes early and cleaning yourself up really well (shower, hair spray, shave). I always feel more confident when I know I look good (and I don't mean you have to look "hunky", just really fresh and clean looking).

So breathing exercise don't work? Try something else. Medication is usually a last resort, but for a short time of high anxiety, you can get meds that last for only a couple hours. If you don't like medication, try something else. There is progressive muscle relaxation, biofeedback, exercise, healthy dieting, CBT, and lots of other programs too. Try something else that you think that will help...and having a clean appearance isn't bad either!
