People with SA linked to having higher intelligence. This was an interesting read. I have often felt like people who do well in the world today are dull mentally and it is why they can excel more.

Intelligence makes this society uncomfortable. Gives them yucky feelzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Because I have SA and I'm dumb lol....

How are you dumb? Just because you have a different kind of intellect? Just because people can get along in social situations well hardly makes them smarter, more adaptive and better at being like everyone else, maybe.

You actually seem really bright to me from your posts on here. It makes me kinda sad you label yourself as dumb. I often am too hard on myself, and call myself stupid sometimes but I really don't think I am. My problem is I a m stubborn and I refuse to be put in a box. I purposely have rejected all forms of trying to fit in because I ultimately feel like fitting in isn't a good thing for anyone. We should all be proud to be individuals. Ah sorry getting off topic a bit :)

This article reminds me of another from the same website about the link between having SA and actually being more
empathic than most people.
Sometimes I notice this at work... some of the loners and more reserved people are very talented, and more effective for some tasks, like the ones that require a lot of detailing.
But at the same time, I think it doesn't mean they don't care about others. They're just more focused and may actually be more empathic than most people think, it's just they have a hard time dealing with their feelings.
Some of them may have been bullied for being smarter than other kids and have this mindset like a confort zone.

Great, yes I agree, good observation. So you are not yourself a loner?

This world is truly evil.
The cruel and sadistic people seem to have control of everything.
I fail to understand how anyone could WANT to live in this screwed up world.

It wouldn't say it's entirely evil, but as part of our natural wiring for survival the negative and dangerous parts stick the most, which makes it overbearing considering that even objectively it's by no means a small part.

Try to focus on all that is good in the world - of which there is no shortage. They're hidden for the most part, because beyond a few feel-good stories we hardly ever hear about those parts anywhere, but they're there.

Did something happen recently? It could be that you're temporarily chemically slightly different internally, causing the sensation.

Thanks for asking, I was beginning to think I was more or less invisible in this forum. I've not been sleeping really at all except maybe a 3-4 hours a day so I think its been making my moods worse. Im hoping that if I can actually get some rest maybe I wont feel so out of touch with reality.

You want to know how I got these scars?
I really don't like a large part of the human race.

I wish I could hand pick those whom I think would be worth saving, then wipe the rest.

I really wish I could.

Nah, don't worry. I think it's more a case of people not really knowing how to approach the problem and because of it stay silent. But yeah, that'll do it. If you get into a pattern of sleep deprivation and/or insomnia it's staggering just how destructive it can be. Do you have any idea what causes it? Like mind racing or maybe even sleep procrastination?

I've seen Jurassic Park (the original) twice in the last 4 days. I don't think the new one coming out soon can possibly measure up.

I'm cautiously excited, but I'm very sure that whatever the new movie is going to be, we'll have to appreciate it for what it is in its own right, as it's not likely going to be anything like the original(s).

Whatever it turns out to be - it at the very least appears to be a halfway decent Kaiju movie if nothing else.

I have a job interview tomorrow at 5 p.m. It's pretty much been all I've been able to think about and I get queasy every time I think about it. Hopefully the interviewer won't have the misfortune of seeing my lunch explode out of me :/.

I kind of wish the interview was earlier in the day so it could maybe be a "rip it off like a band-aid and just get it done with" situation, but on the flip side having it later in the day might give me more time to mentally prepare for it, or more time for me to find a pair of handcuffs to try to chain me to something in the house and throw away the key so I'll be forced not to go. That could work too.

No just general displeasure with where I am in life right now. Im having difficulty finding work so Im still stuck in my bedroom at my folks house. Now Im trying to augment my degree with different classes but I missed a deadline so now Im kinda just hoping they'll let me in this year or i'll be doing a whole lot of nothing for another year. So Im guessing its more depression again.
