phone calls

I just got off the phone and it wasn't that great. I called my grandma, a work friend, and a cousin, and none of the conversations went that well. I wish I were a totally different person.

Try not to beat yourself up about it. I'm sure all those people you've spoken to have had their "off days" too. At least you called them and made the effort. A lot of people avoid making contact in such a direct manner.

I've had some terrible conversations on the phone with people, and in person too. It doesn't really matter. It's soon forgotten. It's not recorded for posterity, thankfully.

When you're having a better day and feel more positive, why not try calling them again?

"Phone shyness" is extremely common. So even if the problem was mostly the anxiety of talking to someone, I'm sure it was made worse by that, which is a perfectly "normal" problem.

Don't worry about it! Talking on the phone can be hard. I've never liked it. You made the effort, which is important.
