Perfectionism killing my chance at a relationship

I can't keep a girlfriend (or even muster the confidence to pursue one) because of my deeply ingrained perfectionism. I always see myself as not being good enough. Initially, I will do fine but as the relationship gets to be a couple weeks old I find myself becoming anxious because I don't feel I'm good enough or have what it takes to hold on to her. From here the tension becomes tangible and she'll break it off or I will.

What kind of therapy can help me with this?

Have you tried looking into cbt.. its a treatment thats ment to be quite effective,im on it myself but i dont think its working because there trying to just treat the symptoms (anxiety) and not the actual problem (my low self esteem) but have heard alot of good stuff about it might not be for everyone but worth trying.

Hey

It all boils down to your anxiety. That is the root. You're anxious that she'll dislike you and then you ruin it. Treat the anxiety and only them will you be able to have a steady relationship
