I think my mom has SA just like me, she's always told me stories of how much alike me she was at my age. Other than that, I don't know what runs in my family, besides diabetes for my grandparents and depression.

They, and by they I mean the voices in my head, say it's not genetic.

Which would explain why I'm the only one whu suffers from this blasted curse.

Depression and some eye problem that I can't remember the name of runs in my family.

4 siblings (including me), all mentally ill.
My mother and some distant relative are severely mentally ill (schizophrenia with my mom and the other woman.. just nuts :S)

My brothers have OCD and SA.
Sister has depression.

Apart from that, no.. not a lot of relatives/family with mental problems >./

My dad has depression, and his brother killed himself before I was born, so I suspect he had it too. My mum has had depression in the past too. I don't think either of them have SA though, since they really don't seem to understand much about it.

Apart from that there is a history of cancer and diabetes in my family. Oh, and I have vitaligo, but I don't know where the hell I inherited that from.

My mom's father was described as "painfully shy", so that's probably SA. My dad's sister is bipolar. And there's some distant cousin who is schizophrenic. So yeah. I believe mental illness definately runs in families.

My father is fairly quiet and shy and has definite fear of crowded public spaces, but he is not socially phobic by any means. My mother is very outgoing. Weird mix. 8)

My Aunt has OCD, so she's nutty. My other aunt has never worked in her life, so she's nutty. My uncle sits and fusses non-stop and talks about how he would like to kill people ever since I've known him, so he's nutty, my other uncle has been in a crazy house before because he told a doctor he was going to kill himself, so he's nutty. And that's all on my Moms side. My Mom used to be really shy, I don't think she had SA. I don't know about my so called fathers side, but I do know he's an alcoholic. I think he has SA, I don't know the guy.

But me and my OCD aunt are known as the two crazy people of the family. Actually, were known as lazy asses who use excuses.

I have more to add. My grandmother and my aunt on my dad's side both had serious deression. My aunt has been in a mental hospital for her depression. I never knew that. My mom and her dad both have had social anxiety. So, I'm all set!

My mom thinks that she and my dad both had it also. Mental illness definately does run in my family. I have an aunt who is bipolar and an uncle on the other side of the family that is schitzophrenic. Depression, other various mental illnesses...it's in our family.

Yes same again!

I actually love listening to my mother when she talks to strangers because I learn a lot about how to talk to people. We went into a take away once and ended up staying for about half an hour while my mum chatted to the owner of the shop about how his business was going. I just sat in awe of a social pro and tried to pick up some tips.
