Odaban for severe underarm HH - Need help/advice/anything!

Hi all,

I know I've posted a few threads in the past but I'm just interested if anyone has tried Odaban with success for mild-severe underarm HH? Or even Driclor?

I would say I have severe underarm HH as I literally drip sweat and have quite large sweat patches on shirts. Now hear me out. I've been using Odaban for 2 weeks straight, applying 1 or 2 sprays every night before going to sleep. I use baby powder before applying so it's very dry then use a cotton-ball to dab away the excess product then dry my underarms with a hair-dryer and then use baby powder again to prevent irritation.

Does this sound like I'm applying it right?

So far I would say there has been some success in that I don't 'drip' sweat but my underarms are still quite wet when I'm out and about, around people and working out/exercising/hot weather. At least when I'm home now they are relatively dry.

Some other notes, Driclor has been able to control my feet and hands HH; so seeing as the feet and hands have rougher skin, surely Odaban will eventually work for me? Or maybe my underarms are just too severe?

Also during summer at the start of the year, Certain-Dri worked for me on the underarms for 3 days straight before it stopped working. So that was only 12% Aluminium Chloride. Whereas Odaban is 20% Aluminium Chloride.

So my question to you all is, do I keep persisting? I've read on the Odaban website it can take several weeks, so perhaps it is slowly working? Surely I have hope seeing as Driclor works for my hands and feet and that Certain-Dri worked for a short time.

Maybe I'm asking for advice too early but it's not easy living with HH!

Driclor is really good. I doubt it won't work for your underarm sweating. But I have never used it with powder (before or after)... I used to apply it directly on the skin.

Besides, I don't think you should use it all the time. I use it only at summer, basically. Otherwise, it will probably lose its effect.

I used odaban and i was still sweating but not aloads. i tooo have axillary hh. I def would move to botox. try robinul in oral medication. Stacking helps. :)(using 2 or more products ). I also just applied Odaban directly but used it in te morning.

I got turned down for botox in Sept. and will look bck into it.
I think botox will def help me.if it doesn't work alone then use a topical.

but Odaban is 1 of 7 products for top brands. I think the post is on this site...

There is a deodarant/antipersprant that works well but I'll have to find out the name.

I currently just use Certain Dri AM but don't like it bc of the scent.. I wish it was uncented.I aso use Mitchum clear gel 20% gly unscented and fresh scent powder.

Thanks for replying. How long did you use Odaban for and how much did it reduce the sweating? It's been 3 weeks now and my right side is just a little sweaty so there is an improvement. Unfortunately my left side gets quite wet still.

Summer is almost here so I want to get my underarm/axillary HH under control. Will only use Pro-Banthine on the warm/hot days as I don't want to be taking medication every day for it.

Did you apply Odaban all over the armpit? Or were there certain spots?

I think botox would work but it's quite expensive, would prefer to get the topical treatment to work.

Would be good if you could find the name of that antiperspirant.

Have you solved your underarm HH? Does Certain-Dri A.M make a difference?

Sorry about all the questions, really want to solve this horrible problem!

Okay it's been a month and a half. I used Odaban for a month and now I'm using Driclor to finish off the little problem areas of the underarms as find I can apply it more directly. I don't want to jinx it, but now my shirts only get a little bit damp so to me it looks like I'm nearly there!

Just wondering, how should I stop using it every night when I'm completely dry? Like how do I slowly start using it less and less? Do I cut down to every 2nd night or do I just wait and see when I start sweating again?

I just don't want to stuff up my persistence and patience, I'm hoping I can get it down to once a week, seem possible?

Thanks.

Understandable darknight, I'm trying to cut down to every 2nd night now. Would be great to hear your thoughts/advice asap.
