One of the lucky aspect of our life is that we are in time where is great scientific progress. There's a great new discovery about the suffering of OCD. We all know that the symptoms are the result of a lack in serotonin trasmission between nerve cells in our brains. Serotonin is a substance that helps the passage of signals from a part in the brain to another. So if we feel something due to environment influence on our senses, this emotions will be transmit to a determined area of our brain and then elaborated and memorized. In OCD sufferers those emotions and feels are misinterpret and can cause anxiety even if there's no reason to beeing anxious. It's a false alarm. Now with the help of microelectronic a chip can be implanted under the skull in the area where the OCD symptom is generated. The chip functions like a pacemaker and it neutralizes the bad symptoms electrically. I'm quite confident that with the help of nanotecnology in the near future, OCD and other mental illnesses will be definitely healed.
