Hi! Whilst my social phobia is not at it's worst, I still definitely have it.
I stumbled upon this forum when I was looking to find out why I am so irritable and constantly need to cover my vision when someone is jiggling their leg or block my ears when someone is sniffing. I look like a crazy person. I think I may have an OCD in that I take preventative measures which actually cause more stress for myself and others than the issue I'm trying to prevent. For example my boyfriend has post nasal drip which forces him to clear his throat all the time. He can't help it, but I yell at him or listen to my ipod when he does it which stresses him out, and in turn stresses me. I also pick my skin and scratch my scalp compulsively even when it hurts. My symptoms may be mild, but enough to make me quit a job (have done because of my boss who has an ocd which makes her hum and talk to herself all day) and a course (gum chewer). I think this may be related to my social phobia. I hope to find people like me to talk to!
