hi guys, i've had palmer and underarm hyperhidrosis for a LONg time, i guess it started when i was a kid and i'm 20 now. After reading a couple of posts i guess this is where i belong, i share some of the same concerns that you guys have, mainly the social confrontations, and it gets more annoying as I'm older since there will only be more of these social issues. I've handled the underarm sweating quite well. i used to use this product called Maxim and it was quite good, definitely no more dripping, then when i saw the commercial recently for Gillette clinical strength, so i'm trying to switch to that one and it's really good too. they tell you to use it at night (same as the Maxim one) but i use it when i wake up anyway and so far so good. the only problem now is my hands, i'm still kinda lost as to how i should deal with it, i tried something way back maybe 5 years ago it's this device where you fill it half way with water and submerge your palm in it while it sends some electrical pulses to your palm, is it similar to the iontophoresis? (i never really looked into that one), but my point is, it's quite annoying because it takes a while to finish the process. One of my friends told me he knew someone who did acupuncture and solved this problem. Have you guys tried that before? thx for listening

Sounds like what you did was iontophoresis.

I've tried acupuncture, seemed to work at first but had no real effect for me.

May be different for you.

Yeah that was iontophoresis. You submerge your hands and feet in a tray of water for 10-15 minutes while a small electrical current is applied through the metal plates and into the water. Then you repeat the prosess again on the negative polarity. If you have two trays the whole process takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour. I have to do a maintenance once a week (sometimes twice) and I also roll some driclor on my hands from time to time.. driclor is just the same as maxim. The combination of these two has given my practically dry hands and feet for a long time now, and they used to drip so it shows it can work in severe cases as well.
