I'd just love someone to talk to who's experiencing anxiety.
I feel so alone.
Not many people understand what I go through.
I've got a year 12 camp next year that Im going to go try go to.
Teachers are willing to take me home if i start to become anxious.
& also my parents will pick me up.
I just feel so scared about the whole situation.
Because I know how I will get.
Its a 2 night camp.

Hello :D
I realize I'm not alone but I just feel so alone.
I don't think I've met anyone with anxiety.
I can explain it to my friends but I don't think they can actually comprehend what its like for me.
I get very anxious when going out.
I'm fine with school but when I first got anxiety about 2-3 years ago I wasnt.
I just get very worked up before I go out places.
Im fine when Im with family.
But say Im going out to meet friends at the movies or plaza I get very anxious. and also. Pretty disgusting but i get uhm bowl movements? (i cant think of a pleasant way to say it), i get diarrhea. and i read up and this can actually be a symptom.
So I find myself taking gastro stop tablets alot which isnt good for my health.
My camp which is comming up is going to be scary.
Im just so nervous for it.

Hey :). Don't feel too bad about it, because you're definitely not alone. A lot more people experience these types of things, some people can hide it and some people can't.

I'd recommend never trying to hide it though, and you did the right thing in talking to friends and family and even school teachers about it! Man, you got some balls [even if you're a chick, that's a brave thing to do]. So I mean, everybody in this situation is there for you in case you get too anxious, so that totally rocks. You should just have a good time and always remember that you can 'tap out' if your symptoms come back.

Anyway, if none of that comforts you, you can always consider professional help. But in the meantime, you can practice dealing with your situation by accepting it, and working your way around it. A lot of the time people want to get rid of their fears completely in like... a day, and that's not going to happen. So just accept that you're prone to anxiety, and figure out how to be happy with it anyway. I know you can if you try :) Also, you can always try eliminating or limiting your intake of caffeine and refined sugar. Just target the root of the problem, right?

Anyways, good luck. Keep being honest and open with yourself and other people about your problem - it certainly lightens the load. Rock on.

thanks.
I think I may try go see what professional help is available during the holidays.
maybe a psychiatrist.
I've tried to beat it myself. and Im getting better at the whole 'going out' thing but I need more.
and going to this camp will be the most nerve racking thing ever.
I'd just love to hear stories of others 'anxiety cases'.

and also I see majority of people that submitted in the poll were between 15-17 when they realized they had anxiety.
I would love to hear stories.
Its wacky and weird, but It does help knowing that other people go through the same day to day difficulties as myself.
I would also love to hear how you are getting over it.
