Last week I had posted a thread about my girlfriend suddenly breaking up with me after about 5 months. The only reason she gave me was "it's all on me, it's nothing you did/didn't do. I jumped back into dating to quickly".
So we have still been e-mailing back and forth and she won't come out and say it, but I think the main reason she broke up with me is cause I wasn't very talkative around her friends. I know that was important to her.
She just said she's going through some personal issues (some of which I already knew about) and she just needs some time. She said she would consider giving me another chance in the future, but she also doesn't want me to wait around for her.
This is pretty much the only girlfriend I've ever had, and she really understands me. I am a totally different person when I am with her. So we've still been e-mailing pretty much everyday and it's almost like everything is back like it was a few weeks ago, except we are taking a break from talking on the phone and seeing each other.
Basically I think that she might want to get back together (or maybe in a few weeks/months) and I feel like I'm making a little progress. I think maybe she doesn't realize how much I love her. So I've been talking with a couple of acquaintances at work and they suggested I send her flowers for Valentine's Day just to let her know I still care for her. I thought it was a good idea so I ordered flowers online and have it scheduled to be delivered to her house next week.
Here's the message I put for the card:
Happy Valentine's Day! I just want you to know you are still very special to me and I will always be there for you, even if you just need someone to talk to when times get tough. I wish you the best as you try and work out everything you're going through. Just know that I will be right here when the time's right.
You are the girl of my dreams.
Love,
(me)
I just want to let her know that even though she doesn't want me to wait for her and wants me to figure out the type of girl I want to spend my life with, I feel she is the one for me.
Was this a bad idea?
