Nardil the best med

I've done research on the net and quite a lot of the time I come across high praise for Nardil. Such as "Nardil usually works great for SP! It the "Gold Standard" antidepressant for SP". Some people seem to have no response to the drug or it makes their anxiety worse but a lot of people swear it's the best they have ever tried. I know nardil is an old drug with side effects meaning you can't eat blue cheese, red wine, and excess coffee but a lot of the forums i read people said that these side effects are minor compared to the great relief they have experience with their anxiety.

"Nardil is excellent for many other anxiety and depressive disorders also. Reports of Nardil side effects are frequently exaggerated, particularly since Nardil's side effects typically take 2-4 months to diminish or disappear. After several months Nardil tends to cause less side effects than SRI's across comparable dose ranges, with the exception of Prozac"

Any experiences or opinions would be greatly appreciated

Nardil is the best drug ever! It is the only drug that I literally get cured of depression after 5 weeks. The only problem is it tends to lose it's effect after a few months as the body adapts to it. Still, Nardil saved my life.

My psychiatrist prescribed me 21 days worth of Nardil today. I assume it will be the "new Nardil", so I'll let anyone who's interested know how it works, since I can't seem to find anybody with anything to say about the new formulation. It wasn't too hard to find; I only had to try two pharmacies to find it. I've done some research, although there isn't a ton of information out there on Nardil (socialfear.com seems to be the site that everyone references). Klonopin is apparently the absolute best for SP, but it's habit forming, it's effectiveness decreases over time, and ultimately, it just isn't good as a longterm solution. Nardil seems to be a close second in dealing with SP. I sure hope it works for me. SP has been ruining my life since I was a child.

i'm on nardil and clonazepam
the clonazepam for about 5 weeks .5mg morning, .25mg lunch, 1.0mg bedtime
and the nardil for about 3 weeks 15mg morning, 15mg lunch
i'm very slowly building up the nardil dosage because everybody knows this drug has more side effects than most
believe me, they wern't lying when people say nardil and clonazepam are the most effective drugs for sp. these are the big time drugs for big time problems, it's like comparing a gun to a water pistol

nhen please keep me update on your experience with nardil and clonazepam, you seem to be starting about the same time as me

from the research i've read it doesn't lose it's efficacy
it just makes you a bit manic at the start that's all and then everything settles down to how it's supposed to be
just my 2 cents

i would agree with you that clonazepam (klonopin) is habbit forming. because it works so damn well.
i would disagree with you that it loses it's efficacy over time.
it's just something doctors say because they hate perscribing benzos because of their potential for abuse

i checked for nardil's side effects and i found : Genitourinary side effects have included sexual disturbances (e.g., anorgasmia, ejaculatory disturbances, and impotence) and urinary retention

that's why I'm afraid to use drugs, when you can have sex physically, you can't because of S.A & when you can have a relationship because you're on drugs, you can't have sex because you can't perform..

It's a lose lose situation.. specially for men ..

is there any drug out there that doesn't have sexual side effects?
