My introduction

Hello everyone, I figure I'll introduce myself before starting to post elsewhere :) .
Apologies if the message appears too chaotic or if I make any mistakes in English or whatever

I am a 19 year old male, I am an artist -an amateur one- now in my fourth year of an art course. with a deep (excuse the pun!) love for marine biology and well, biology in general. I listen to metal (mostly folk-metal), enjoy reading, fine dining, and am quite interested in Norse mythology as well as viking age scandinavia in general.

Posting on forums is very difficult for me, and I almost always avoid doing so. So I am now trying to post on social anxiety forums in an attempt to get more comfortable with the idea, and later on I plan to attempt posting on other forums which I want to post on but find it too stressful.

I have not yet been to any sort of therapy, but I will, eventually.

Well, thats it, I guess. I look forward to both posting here and reading here more, and getting to know the people here
:D . I reckon this will do me some good.

Thank you for the kind words. Yes, I drew my avatar, its a, er, "quick" (quicker than most, at least!) sketch of a viking sort of sculpture. I like it, looks rather jolly :D .

Hi Polypterus.Nice to meet you and great drawing by the way :) .Had to reply to your post as im something of a history nut myself.2nd to the Roman Empire, mythology is a favourite.Im biased toward to Norsk Legends of Thor etc as our Scandinavian friends spent many a year inhabiting the Northern Scottish Islands. Also learned a little Latin because of the Roman thing and im guessing with your love of bioligy your nickname is a type of fish?.My latins a bit shoddy but rough translation 'many fins?'.Anyways im going all geeky now so ill just finish up by saying enjoy your stay I hope to see you around

Yup, it is a genus of fish, and that is exactly what the name means.

Thank you too for the welcome, and I must say, getting geeky is fun! :D
