well, im 15, and im in year 11 at school.

in near enough every lesson, my heart starts racing and i feel really nervous that ill go red. i go bright red whenever the teacher asks me to answer a question or read something out, and i just always end up in a stuttering mess... and at the same time i hear people laughing and i think they are laughing at me which makes it worse. i even go bright red when a classmate says my name, even if its something like 'can i borrow a pen please'.

to top that, there are certain, id say, more extrovert people in my class who trigger my blushing, so whenever i walk past them or they speak to me i go  i feel like an idiot

i think its making me develop SA, because its making me less sociable and ive even started to draw away from my friends and try to cover my face...

its making me feel

any advice or anything id appreciate... :(

I know what you're going through. Luckily, I managed to go through 12th grade, which was when my problems started (a bad break-up with a girlfriend). I started going red everytime a teacher would say my name. I would pray that the teachers wouldn't ask me questions in class. I would pray for the clock to go faster so I could go home and not suffer anymore, but all in vain. It gets even worse when a teacher asks why you're so red and if you're ok. I know she didn't have bad intentions, but still... Everyone in class started looking at me, and they were about 23 people there.

Nowadays, I can't even stop being so nervous around family members. It really sucks because Christmas is just a month away, you know? All you need to go red is to be nervous, and I just can't control my thoughts in order not to blush.

Search Google for some self hypnosis pages. I know it sounds a little hippy and stupid but it really has helped me with with SA in general and blushing and the fast heart beat. Give it a chance and it just might help you too.

man, i hate presentations   i used to be ok with them but now...just the thought... english lessons are TORCHURE because we are reading romeo and juliet, which involves a lot of different characters, and throughout the lesson the teacher chooses random people to read out different characters!!! so all the way through the lesson i try to cover my face with my hand in some way or take out a tissue to pretend ive got a cold, dreading all the time that the teacher might call out my name to read out a part and ill go REDREDRED  stuttering through the lines..argh!

glad to know im not alone on this though... hopefully we can get through it somehow!!!! im constantly looking at my homework planner to see how many days we have left until the next holiday and the end of year 11
