Lorazepam thats nearly 3 years old

I have lorazepam that's nearly 3 years. Is it still ok to take? Will it work?

All medication has a expirary date, usually 6months. It could be due to the chemicals not working after that time, or it could be that time has caused a reaction that may be unditectable. I hate taking pills anyway so I wouldn't take old pills to save my life. (hmm... Ironic.) but I would not take those things nomatter how old.
