Life is too short for small things

Let's just keep living

people with o.c.d who cares if you do rituals as long as you benefit from doing them.

people with SA who cares if your scared to talk to people there probably a million times more crazy than us.

I'm not sure it's accurate to call something small if it prevents you from doing all the big stuff and leaves your life in a sort of perpetual suspended animation.

Nonetheless, being used to it and seeing no good alternative, I do just take it as a given and go on living. I suppose that makes me happier than people who are depressed by obsessing over their problems and sadder than people who actually fix their problems.

No one's life is perfect, but viewing SA or OCD as a trifle which only causes you light consequences is addressing this matter way too shallowly. It's not a "small thing" when you don't dare talking to people and maybe is destined to live as a hermit for the rest of your life. Or when you shake or sweat in public due to any disorder bothering you. True, there are some out there who have it worse than you, but there is also those who don't struggle as much with the same things you do and therefore live an easier life. Wouldn't that be something worth struggling for?
