Hey has anyone taking Lexapro for socail anxiety and did it work?

I'm currently on it 10mg's a day and I haven't noticed a bit of difference yet. However, it's only been two weeks. How long should I wait for it to "kick it"?

I'm on 10mgs a day also, i just started a few days ago. I noticed a big difference right away.

I noticed a significant difference after one day - not related to placebo. My physiological state had changed and i was happier. At first i was more anxious than usual but within a few days my quality of life was far better with no social anxiety - extraordinary as i used to have it very bad. A good thing also to note is that higher levels of serotonin are correlated with increases in social status. Monkeys given prozac that were previously socially inferior to the group have known to really improve their social position and even become the alpha male!!

Keep taking it, the drug is changing my life!!

what kind of drug is is?

it effects different people completely differently. my friend said she feels perfect after taking it for 2 months. I am going to ask my doctor about this drug it sounds encouraging to me.


edit: she suffered mild - medium social anxiety at the time of starting on it btw
