laser tattoo removal

has anyone been through this process? I'm considering gettting one of mine removed. They did some really bad work on my tattoo when i first got it done 2 yrs ago. I went back about a year ago to another artist to see if he could make it better, no luck. I just had a cover up last weekend and now it looks worse. The colors now blend in horribly. Does anyone know if tattoo removal can be done on new tattoos? I cant find this information online.

From what I've read it's even more painful that getting a tattoo put on. Also judging from before/after pics, it's not always 100% effective.

Have you considered a cover up? With the right artist, they can pull just about anything off.
