Just OCD?

I have this annoying habit whenever I leave a store I'm terrified the alarm's gonna go off. I never have and never will steal anything...I'm just afraid something fell in my bag or something stupid like that and I'll end up in jail (I'm too pretty to go to prison!), the anxiety building up to it is tremendous.

This is just my OCD right? Or am I a little crazy.....haha...???

I'm like that too, but it started after my daughters stroller made the alarm go off when I went in and out of a store at the mall. Now I'm scared the alarm will go off when I walk in and out of a store even though I know I haven't stolen anything ::

ur definatly not crazy... I do that soemtimes.. and if u were crazy u wouldn't be doubting ur sanity...cuz crazy people never admit to being insane

I don't actually get the thought but a lot of the time the alarm goes off randomly when I pass through the door, I think I have some kind of crazy magnetic field that triggers the alarms just to piss me off. Naturally I start thinking "HAUL ASS!!!!!!" and it just gets more suspicious since I'm walking a lot faster. lol. Stupid faulty alarms

Yes . This is one of the reasons I hate going into shops. I hate going in shops if I have a bag or something, and I always have to zip up all my pockets before I go in. I feel like everyone is watching to see if I'm going to nick something or that they think I'm acting suspiciously.

Well, sounds like an anxiety, and half of the OCD cycle, but you didnt mention any compulsion or avoidance to reduce the anxiety. Also, it doesnt sound like it fully gets at the diagnostic criteria for OCD.

With that said, that sucks. Sorry. Thats got to be annoying, but you've got support here.

omg, i have that feeling all the time.
I never steal from any store, but like you said, almost all the time, when i come out of the store, i keep feeling like EVERYONE is WATCHING me .

I think it is.. I do that too.. but I always thought it was because I used to steal when I was younger..but it seems like ocd
