When I first saw I thought half-full, but I've had the half-full/half-empty concept so deeply ingrained in my brain I was hardly unbiased in answering. I was writing a paper a few days ago, and when I got the half point I was very fairly excited about it, so I think I'm half-full type person anyway. Not all the time but I try to be.

Well I have to thank you for making this thread. I thought I was positive, but this simple question makes me realize I am very negative, I can't even imagine my life as a 'half-full' life right now, but I realize it is what I think it as. So thanks

Edit: didn't even see the first post, just the thread question. If concretely about the glass, immediate reaction is full

It depends
If the glass is full and you drink half of it, it's half empty.
If the glass is empty and you fill it half, it's half full.

I think of it as a test of positivity and negativity.
If you were to say the glass was half empty, empty insinuates that there is a loss, something missing.
If you were to say the glass was half full, there's movement, growth and an outlook of the future.. that it can actually be full up if you want it to be.
