Irresponsible post on OCD by a "health editor" in WD magazine

Dear All,

I am new to this forum, and this is my first post. My name is Julie and I have dealt with various anxiety disorders in the last four years. I recently came across an article in Women's Day magazine by a "health editor" which irresponsibly talked about OCD and its treatment options. Having dealt with various anxiety disorders myself, some of the ignorant questions raised in the article really disturb me as I feel it is contributing to the stigma and ignorance that many of us already face on a daily basis. The article really saddens me since it is a huge indicator of how little people know about mental disorders. The author speaks of the illness so lightly as if it were not an illness at all. To make matters worse, she is supposedly a health editor of the magazine. I think it would be great if many us suffering from similar problems spoke up about this article.

Please take a look at the article if you get a chance.
