In good company

Hi everyone.

Its great to see so many nice people bravely sharing so much on this site.Hope some of it rubs off and makes this post a bit easier

Well here goes.Im Craig,im 22 and from Scotland.Have had social phobia/depression since i was about 17.Im just about to turn 23 and i guess im finally starting to accept this personality distortion.Ive sort of lost most of what i thought mattered over the past few years and probably like most of you have had to radically change my short-term goals in life.Though with accepting my problem and trying not to deal with it alone anymore i hope to start again and slowly rebuild things. With a much bigger sence of appreciation for each small thing im lucky enough to be blessed with this time round.

I Hope i can lend an ear, offer any support i possibly can and share war stories with all you likeminded sufferers.Well thats all for now my fellow nutters. Thanks for listening and hope to see you around the site :)

*Virtual pints all round*

Thanks for the reply.Youve nailed me with one post, even when in therapy my main concern not bore the psychiatrist and not go on about myself too much (insane huh?).This is anonymous website where you are free to pour your heart,i know that so i must have joined for a reason. Will just take some time to come out of this shell, but if i can learn to be open and honest on here then hopefully i can learn to be closer to any partners and friends in my life.Hope that makes sense...its a theory anyway.

Thanks again

I think you've had enough maggie. You just stated Canadians rule which is a bit dilusional. Someone get her some virtual coffee.
