I think i have OCD

Ok here is a list of everything i do, for no real reason.
  • Wash my hand alot, i have to do 2, then 2 more before the last 3 times then the final :? so its like wash my hands with soap, x2 then again x2 then, 3,2,1, last time, wash hands with soap
  • Before going to bed, if im the last person downstairs i have to check all the rooms, not sure what im looking for.

Same thing, before going to bed i cant bare to see a lamp on, charger pluged it or anything like that, i cant even have the charger plugged into the wall but the switch off

Checking if i need the loo about 20 times before going to school, this is mainly linked to my fear of needing the loo

wiping the toilet seat with toilet paper everytime i use it, unless i was the last to use the toilet anyway

I have to eat a bannana at some point after i get home from school, followed by an apple and a marmite sandwhich before i go to bed (I have to use hardly any butter, to much fat makes you go to the loo more often???) - i think this is because i think by doing that it will help me go to the loo normally in the morning and not need to go whilst at school. In the morning, every morning i have to have weetabix, with the milk drained off

thanks, from that im pretty sure i do have OCD but really, its not affecting my life alot and im not unhappy about this, i just want advice on how to stop doing some of the things

I have some of the same habits, if you can call them that, as you do.
I phoned a counciler the other day and she said mine are serious because they are safety prone.
My habits are...
1. Checking heat registers and vents because anything over them will set fire and possibly kill me.
2. Continualy checking locks to make sure my house is locked up tight.
3. Looking out windows and into rooms to make sure everthing is ok.
4. Washing my hands continaully until they bleed.
5. Taking hours to perfect my hair.
6. Cleaning- I'm an obsessive cleaner to the point that I will spend my entire day cleaning my house.
7. Disinfecting.
8. Rewritting things over and over.
9. Making sure with people that I'll be ok during the day- out of my house.
10. Using the washroom all the time- when not needed.
11. Wearing baggy clothes because I'm afraid of the seams ripping while out in public.
These are just a few of the things.
The reason I'm listing these is so that you understand you aren't alone and they are normal OCD acts. I'm not saying you have OCd but I would suggest talking to a doctor about it.
As for not doing the things, it's easy enough to say but from what I've experienced ignoring the compulsive thoughts to do soemthing is like pulling teeth.
Do the best thing for you. I strogely suggest seeking help though because it only gets worse.
