11:32pm here in New Zealand. This is the first part of the world to welcome in the New Year and I'll be spending it at home alone by choice. I was invited to a number of BBQ's/gatherings but respectively declined all invitations.

I don't want to spend New Years Eve awkwardly explaining to drunks why I can't drink alcohol, or trying to hide the zombie like state that my medication puts me into. I'd rather spend New Years Eve at home alone. I won't lie and say it isn't lonely, but at least it is comfortable.

New Years Eve parties are over-rated anyways

Together with my birthday the loneliest days of the year. This is the third year i'm alone with new years eve. Normally i don't really mind being alone, but new years eve makes me feel very lonely. I always think back about how much i liked new years eve when i was a kid and how im unable to like it now...

The timezone difference as well as time flow differences. Both very interesting subjects, although hard to follow sometimes.

I don't like it either, any more. Like others, I agree, there is nohing wrong with doing your own thing and not going anywhere. And it is comfortable and probably what I want really. But it depends what my mind is focused on. A few years ago when I would do my own thing, alone I'd be fine. But tonight, my mind seems to have slipped onto other people, and therefore the usual lonliness has escalated.

I always watch out of the window for fireworks, they're very pretty... ^^ I wish I can go out and party, but I never have.... I like staying in too, so it doesn't bother me too much either way.

i had a fight with my bf and just spent 4 hours locked out the house and yeah its below zero and yeah he jut came back, let me in and then went back out again saying im mental. yay my life >.< glad to be warm in bed though thought i might actually die out there which is weird as im always suicidal >.<

Everyone expects you to go out and party all night with friends and if you don't then there's something wrong with you. I have no one to go out with tomorrow and I know on Monday people at work are gonna ask me what I did and I'm gonna have to make up something so they won't think I'm the biggest loser in the world. All because if your 22 and you don't go out on New Year's Eve, then there's something seriously wrong with you. GOD I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!!
