He's a new friend of one of my best friends. He's also shy. His name's Jackson. He asked me if I'd be his date over msn and I said I would. I hadn't talked to him before, so I knew I'd have to talk to him a bit. I thought it was perfect that he was shy, because I wouldn't feel intimidated to talk to him all the time. I knew eventually I'd have to talk to him, so I wasn't nervous or anything.
BUT yesterday my friend asked me if I wanted to go to the movie store with her and I said I would. She bought her movie and I thought we were about to leave when she said 'Kyrie, the real reason why I brought you here was because Jackson wanted to meet you.' Apparently he works at the movie store. I was pretty upset that she didn't tell me, and that she lied to get me to come with her, but I sucked it up and went with her to talk to him. He was nice, and I didn't feel too anxious or anything. We talked to him for about an hour and then left.
Today I got a call after school from my friend saying that Jackson wanted us to come back to the movie store again. He also said that he wanted to go out for dinner with us (my friend, me and him). I told my friend that I didn't understand why he wanted to talk to me so bad, and that I was his date, not his girlfriend. I don't know if he thinks otherwise. I'm not attracted to him in any way. I know it sounds bad, but if I would have known he'd want to hang out all the time I wouldn't have gone with him. I feel like I'm not talking to him because I want to, only because I know he wants to and that my friend wants us to. It's just another stressful thing to add to my list.
OH, I should mention that my friend gave him my home phone number so whenever the phone rings my heart stops and I have a mini panic attack until somebody answers the phone.
