good morning

I do not any new films, Especially the premiere films in the cinema.

The reason is - my parents want to watch another film when there is a film
interesting me on TV. I can not go to the cinema though, because I do have my social anxiety which makes the cinema-walking impossible for me.

I would like to watch such films as "Lord of the rings" or the "Harry Potter" saga films. I did have read both of them, the Lord was read by me when I was below 14 years old, but I have watched their films never.

I become less lucid, because my contact with the books/films limits. My phobia makes me avoid libraries and cinemas.

good bye

Hi. Is it okay if I ask how old you are? Maybe you could talk your parents into letting you have your own TV and DVD player, then you could watch what you want. What is it that makes you fear going to the library? You wouldn't really have to interact with people there. I love the library -- it is one of the few places where I don't feel anxious. Books are my only friends anyway. I don't even have to talk to the people who work there. They have computers set up so you can find books or films you want, and you really don't have to say much to them when you borrow materials. And mean, snotty people don't usually hang out at a library, so it's like a nice sanctuary for people like us :) .

Last time I went to the theater was '02. People are talking, people are eating, people are throwing shit. Better to just wait the month.....errr...now week for the movie to come out on DVD.

Yes it is okay. I am teen yet.

I can not have them, because we are too poor to get another TV. DVD-s I can watch on computer but they are quit expensive too, at least for my family.

The internet is enough in our budget.

And my phobia is too big to let me walk freely into such places as the library.

But thank you for your advise.

Snaiefridhur,

I understand your fear of going into libraries and movie theatres because I used to have it myself. I would always worry about getting lost or yelled at. However, about 6 months ago i started working in a small movie theatre that showed independent films for mostly old people who are nice and not really threatening to me.

After spending many hours working at the theatre for a while I realized that it isn't really that bad. When I first worked I was worried about social interaction but all of it is natural for both employees and customers. All you have to do is tell the cashier what movie you want to see, you hand him money, and you get a ticket and walk into your movie.

Basically, hundreds of people walk through a theater in a day, you won't be noticed as anyone else. All the social interaction you have to do can be memorized, its not as hard as making conversation with friends and family when you have to improvise! And you should also remember that as a paying customer, employees will never yell at you or make you feel bad because they have a manager who would fire them.

I hope this helps!

I can just about force myself to go to the cinema if it's a film I really want to see. However, it's a very uncomfortable experience walking in, buying the ticket, and sitting there on your own.

On the other hand, libraries don't pose a problem. I think it's more socially acceptable to go into a library on your own rather than a cinema.

I hate packed cinemas but if i want to go watch a film and specially Harry Potter i'll go. I'll say to myself once i'm in the cinema "Ok, this cinema is real packed but i'm not going to let them stop me from watching this film. Otherwise they'd have seen it and i'd have walked out on the screen and not seen it. But i have to go with someone LOL. If the person i ask to go to the cinema with me doesn't want to go and i've no one else to ask then i'd think "Oh well, i'll have to just wait til i see it on DVD."
I love my local library, i didn't see the first Harry Potter films in cinema because i didn't like HP back then so i rented them out of the local library. Libraries or specially mine ain't packed, it's usually really quiet, so i don't mind going there or anyway, i don't really mind going if there's a film or book i really want to read/watch.
Yeah, you could ask your parents if you could have a TV and DVD player. Then you could buck up your courage to go to the local library and rent all the films out you've always wanted to watch.
Or maybe you could buy them then you can watch them whenever you like without having to have to take them back to the library. Most DVD's these days or if you look in the right shops are at a really good price.

I can't believe you people talking this..! Is your phobia that much big? Oh thanks God i never think i will be discomfort such places like people talking here.

What might happen? Brothers please tell me what do you fell in there? You've entered inside the cinema, then? Everyone look at you? Is that you worry about?

Enter inside, find your chair, take your sit...?? Enjoy the movie

Pls don't do this to yourself.. There is no danger at all. Oh come on..!
