HYPERHYDROSIS TV DOCUMENTARY

Hello there,

My name is Emma and I work for a TV company based in London, UK.
We have previously made a number of documentaries for Channel 4 and Channel 5 in the UK and Discovery and National Geographic channels.

We are currently trying to develop a science documentary about hyperhydrosis - the condition where you sweat a lot - which is why I've decided to post on this forum.

I see that two years ago another TV company were trying to find similar and I'm wondering what happened with this as I never saw the documentary going out?

It's a shame because I think our documentary could really raise awareness of this - a condition which I imagine can be a daily nightmare for the people that suffer with it.

I'd love to hear people's experiences - how they cope with it, whether it effects their lives. Maybe it's totally effected their confidence. Maybe they've spent a small fortune trying to treat it.

The idea would be to take one or two people to see an expert in Hyperhydrosis and who is working on new treatments.

If you can help, or know anyone who can, please get in touch!

Many thanks,
Emma

Hi Emma,

I was one of the ladies that made the hyperhidrosis documentary. It was filmed last July and August and then aired in UK on May 1st 08 and now has gone out all over Europe.

If you are recruiting for more people to take part in another documentary I'd gladly take part again as that is my goal to get the word out there about Hh. I have my own website now for the support for hh since the documentary was aired you can find me and other great people in my fourm at
