Im so incredibly bored. I always complain how much I hate school but its better than just sitting in one spot for hours on end wishing I was doing something.

I know this probably doesnt mean much to people here but I discovered yesterday that my government has decided to shut down the 24/7 rape crisis line. Unbelievable considering typically during the holidays there is a rise in sexual assault and crime in general. So I wonder Mr Key, are you going to planning to field calls from the attacked and the vulnerable? Or are you too busy signing off open cast mining...?

I mean lets face it, money is more important than people after all.

Sadly, until something happens to someone they know and love, nothing will be done to change it. It's always about the all-mighty dollar (or whatever currency you have)!

Well yes... empathy comes from suffering I would of thought...but to shut down a service that helps people in their time of need to save a few dollars is just pathetic. I have already been banned from his facebook wall so I am writing my prime minister an email instead.

Good for you on speaking up! People need to let their elected representatives know how they're feeling since they're supposed to be "for the people"!

Oh my - an advertisement for a chocolate fondue pot just showed up at the bottom of my screen! Even though I'm stuffed on Chinese food, that fondue looks soooooo yummy! Yes, I am a foodie!

I had a night out with my friends. It was great. I always seem to forget how much I miss them.

My doc took me off Ambien and on Lunesta. I just took it for the first time about 10 minutes ago and I already have a really horrible taste in my mouth.

ETA: Oh my god, this is awful. And drinking something just makes it worse!

There's a big Christmas tree in Martin Place Sydney. In its baubled branches it has the words peace joy love and hope. I'm feeling more of those words right now than this time last year.

Regarding hobbies... Well, I haven't been playing my guitar for awhile. Or reading much, lately. And I’ve been meaning to get back into painting and drawing again, but I’m having a hard time finding inspiration. Not to mention my confidence issues when it comes to my creativity.

Neither do I. I do find the socializing aspect awkward, though. I guess my social anxiety becomes really obvious to family this time of year. Especially around relatives I rarely ever see or spend time with.
